Thinking about going deeper? Membership is for when you want more time and space—here’s how it works.
A closer look at access, materials, firing, and what’s included — so you can choose the tier that fits your practice.
How does 24/7 studio access work?
How does 24/7 studio access work?
EAPS Circle members work on their schedule — not ours.
Once approved and oriented, members can access the studio through app-based entry, day or night. EAPS is an active studio, so at times certain areas, wheels, or resources may be in use for classes, workshops, private events, or studio programming.
We do our best to always keep the EAPS Circle room available to members. When limitations exist, they’re communicated clearly so you can plan your time accordingly.
What clay and glazes are included?
What clay and glazes are included?
Membership includes unlimited use of our studio clay, designed for reliability, reclaiming, and everyday use. We also offer a selection of clay bodies for purchase, many of which can be reclaimed back into our studio system.
Members have access to our house dipping glazes and a curated selection of EAPS Circle glazes included with membership.
You’re also welcome to bring your own clay and glazes with approval. We provide a pre-approved list, and additional materials can be reviewed by our team to ensure kiln safety and consistent results.
What’s required to become a member?
What’s required to become a member?
EAPS Circle is application-based.
We give priority to current and former students, especially those who have completed at least one multi-week class. While we recommend two or more classes for the best experience, we’re also open to applicants who are new to EAPS.
All members must complete a required orientation before starting. This includes a two-hour studio training covering equipment use, safety, firing processes, and shared studio expectations.
How does storage work?
How does storage work?
Members have access to shared work-in-progress shelving for pieces currently in production.
Most members bring their own clay, glazes, and personal tools as needed. For those who prefer to keep everything on-site, optional cubby storage is available and can be added to your membership.
This setup allows you to work lightly or fully set up — depending on how you like to practice.
What tools and resources are available to members?
What tools and resources are available to members?
Members have access to our full studio setup, including wheels, hand-building tools, slab rollers, extruders, trimming tools, and shared workspaces.
We’re continually investing in the studio — upgrading equipment, expanding glaze options, refining workflows, and improving the space based on how our members work.
EAPS Circle is designed to grow with you, and the studio evolves alongside the community that uses it.
How does firing work, and how often do you fire?
How does firing work, and how often do you fire?
We run weekly bisque firings and weekly cone 6 glaze firings.
Each membership tier includes a monthly firing allowance covering both bisque and glaze. Pieces are tracked by count, and turnaround times are communicated in the studio.
We fire electric kilns only, with size limits and guidelines posted on-site to ensure consistent results and reliable scheduling.
How does studio access, safety, and the app work together?
How does studio access, safety, and the app work together?
EAPS Circle is supported by an app-based system designed to make 24/7 access safe, reliable, and easy to manage.
Members use the app for studio entry, visit and hour tracking, and kiln unload notifications. The app also serves as a community message board and allows members to purchase clay and select studio items directly.
For safety, the studio is monitored with 24/7 security cameras, and access is logged through the app. These systems allow members to work independently while keeping the studio secure and well-managed.
