Advanced Workshop - Bottles on the Wheel

This workshop is led by Francesca Antonello, a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes ceramics, jewelry, printmaking, and photography.

Francesca brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to teaching, emphasizing technical clarity, experimentation, and creative exploration. Her instruction focuses on helping students understand process - how form, material, and intention come together at the wheel - while building confidence through repetition and guided practice.

Students can expect clear demonstrations, individualized feedback, and a supportive studio environment that encourages both refinement and personal expression.

This Advanced Workshop is designed for potters who are already comfortable centering, pulling walls, and working with basic cylinder forms on the wheel.

Bottle forms introduce new challenges - height, enclosure, and precision at the neck. This workshop is best suited for those looking to refine control, improve consistency, and develop confidence working with taller, more complex forms.

• Throwing tall, narrow forms with stability and intention
• Controlling wall thickness while increasing height
• Shaping and refining bottle profiles
• Creating clean, functional necks and openings
• Trimming for balance, proportion, and structural integrity

Instruction includes demonstration, guided repetition, and individual feedback focused specifically on bottle forms.

Less Than 1 Week Before Your Service
Cancellations are no longer eligible for credit. We simply don't have time to fill your spot for others waiting.
