The sign outside our first studio said it plainly: Just walk in. Make something beautiful.

That promise still drives all that we do.

01Why making matters

Making is a beautiful thing.

A lot of life now happens on screens, in carts, in feeds, and through things other people made for us.

EAPS is built around a different kind of time: time spent choosing, touching, painting, shaping, trying, fixing, laughing, learning, and making.

02The invitation

You do not need to be an artist to begin.

The first step should be simple. Walk in, pick a piece, sit down, and make.

No experience, no performance, no perfect plan. That promise started with Open Studio, but it shapes the whole business.

03The object

The piece remembers the time.

A painted plate is not just a plate. A child's handprint is not just a print. A bowl from a first wheel night is not just a bowl.

Each piece carries the time that made it: the brushstroke, the wobble, the joke at the table, the small improvement from last time.

04The studio

Warm on the floor. Serious behind the scenes.

A studio feels easy when the work behind it is not.

Clean tables, working kilns, clear bookings, careful firing, good instructions, smooth pickup, useful tools, kind help, and enough space for guests to feel comfortable all matter.

EAPS brings together pottery painting, clay, wheel nights, classes, workshops, summer camp, birthday parties, private events, retail, and Circle membership under one studio system.

Long Beach was the beginning. The next version of EAPS is not one studio copied four times. Each place has its own role.

The goal is access - more ways for more people to paint, learn clay, gather, celebrate, practice, and find a studio rhythm that fits their life.

Long BeachWhere we started - the everything studio for walk-ins, classes, parties, events, clay, wheel, retail, and weekly making.

Garden CityThe newest studio - smaller, more intimate, and built for workshops, parties, corporate events, and guided making.

Rockville CentreComing 2027 - a more professional pottery studio for clay, wheel, classes, and events, without walk-in pottery painting.

RoxburyThe farther-out horizon - a quieter place for deeper clay time, retreats, and longer-form making.

The people who make the studio feel easy.

EAPS is run by ceramicists, educators, artists, designers, performers, and steady floor people who know when to help and when to give guests room.

The team keeps the work moving: painting, clay, classes, parties, camps, firing, pickup, and the small details that shape a good visit.
