Mud, motion, and something to show for it. Wheel Wind Down is our evening at the pottery wheel - equal parts night out and "wait, I made that?"

You'll spend 90 minutes at the wheel with one of our instructors - potters who are as skilled at teaching as they are at throwing. They'll guide you through centering the clay and shaping it into a piece you choose: a mug, a bowl, a planter, a ring dish. Everyone walks out proud of what they made - first-timers most of all. Seasoned throwers come back just for the joy of it, and if you finish early, a second piece is on us.

Come as a date night, a friends night, a solo reset. Bring a bottle if you like. And don't worry about the clay - it's not as messy as you'd think. We supply the aprons, and you can head straight to dinner after.

When the night ends, our work begins - and here's the part that surprises people: your piece takes about four weeks to come home. Why so long? Because pottery refuses to be rushed. First we trim and finish your piece by hand. Then the clay rests, drying slowly all the way through - fire it too soon and it cracks. Then a first firing. Then glaze. Then a second firing, hotter, to seal it for life. Four weeks of patience, for a piece that lasts forever.
